Two local shopping centers sell for $16M

Birmingham's Engel Realty Co. announced its part in two local shopping center transactions totaling more than $16.1 million. An investment group that is part of Engel and RBP LLC purchased the Allison Bonnett Plaza shopping center in Hueytown for $10 million. The center is anchored by a Publix Super Market and is 61,000 square feet. Engel's Steve Butler represented the purchasers and Van Barron of BridgePointe Advisors represented the seller. The company also represented Center Point Associates in the sale of the Bruno's Centre in Center Point. The 119,172-square-foot shopping center sold for more than $6.1 million and is anchored by a Bruno's Supermarket. The center was purchased by Center Point Building Owner LLC. Butler and Dan Anderson of Engel and CB Richard Ellis represented the seller.
